This was the perfect place to stay for an event at the OVO Hydro - a 4 minute journey on the train from Central station which is just around the corner from this hotel brought us to and from the venue, and meant that we were close to all the city centre goings on for the rest of our trip. Within less than a 10 minute walk there are so many lovely restaurants and bars to spend time in, and a great fun Escape Room (Locked In) which we enjoyed also within a very short walk of the hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant at this hotel, from minding our luggage when we arrived early to printing our concert tickets when we realised last minute that we couldn't use them on our phones. They all had smiles on their faces and were very helpful to talk to. Breakfast was brilliant, buffet style with a great selection of fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, omelettes, cereal, breads and hot breakfast food also. Our room was very clean, the bed and pillows super comfortable. The shower was great and the size of the room spot on, with a lovely coffee machine and supplies included. The little bar at the hotel is also lovely, with comfy seats and sockets to charge phones etc. We felt safe walking to and from the hotel, even at night. Overall, I am just delighted that I picked this wonderful hotel for our short break.

We stayed for 3 weeks altogether in a superior king room with a view of the river and really enjoyed this hotel. It is in a central location - 2 mins from Glasgow Central station, 2 mins from the Subway/underground rail, 2 mins from heaps of good shops, right by the river, and 5-10 mins walk from a variety of good restaurants. This is a very well run hotel. All the hotel staff - reception, bar, housekeeping, maintenance, security - were very friendly and helpful and any requests we made were fulfilled quickly. The room was well-equipped and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and as we like to sleep without heating on we needed 2 duvets in an exceedingly cold snap, which were readily provided. There is a nespresso machine for a decent cup of coffee and plenty of tea choices and little shortbreads and the staff are helpful and generous with all supplies (in our 3 week stay we wanted loads of decaf pods every day and they went out of their way to bring it especially). The shower was good and the bathroom was clean and kept that way. There is a bar downstairs where you can also get decent bar meals but not cheap and some choices were definitely better than others for quality and cooking skill. The breakfast buffet is excellent, though pretty pricey so not for every day of a long stay.

The hotel upon entering is impressive, looks nice and clean. The staff were professional and helpful for any information on the city or transportation. The first room we had faced the road and was loud in the night with traffic, emergency vehicles etc. When I asked to move they accommodated without any issues. The higher the floor the less noise. The breakfast at this hotel is wonderful! I have stayed at many places in Europe and this one was very nice. They even offered oat and almond milk. They have a chef who will cook you an omelet and has fresh pancakes made at his stand. The selection of fresh fruit, an English breakfast, cereals ,yogurts ,fresh juice starts your day out full and satisfied! The area of the hotel is on the end of a street that is a bit sketchy. Once inside feel we felt safe but after dinner gets a bit dicey.

The hotel is comfortable, clean with the most friendly and helpful staff. Beds and duvet excellent quality. I opted for the breakfast, which I have to say is the best hotel breakfast I have had. So much choice and the quality was excellent. I also had an evening meal here which was also good. The location is excellent and minutes away from central station so ideal if you’re travelling without a car. Close to shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Excellent value and will def book here again when I’m back in Glasgow.

Many thanks again to Kimberly, Mandy, Darina, ILSA!, Darren, Patricia, & all the front desk staff including the night porters & their team who never sleep on my needs at all hours. I stayed at this hotel for extended short term accommodation while waiting to move into a property and I’m so glad I chose the Leonardo Glasgow. Stunning views, most practical location, reliable staff, controllable temperature panel, inside room safe, great tasting in room coffees etc, incredible restaurant & breakfast buffet with staff to match.
